African universities in Mali play a pivotal role in the production and dissemination of knowledge within their country and beyond. The analysis employs qualitative research methods including interviews with university administrators and faculty members, document review of relevant policies and guidelines, and secondary data analysis from academic publications and conferences. University leaders reported a significant increase (25%) in collaborative research projects initiated since the implementation of new knowledge-sharing protocols in . These initiatives have fostered stronger ties with international partners and enhanced local engagement through community-based research programmes. The findings underscore the effectiveness of recent policy interventions in promoting institutional collaboration and enhancing knowledge dissemination within Mali's academic ecosystem. Further investment is recommended to support continued growth in collaborative projects, particularly those focusing on socio-economic development issues relevant to local communities.
