District hospitals in Nigeria are critical for providing healthcare services to underserved populations. However, their effectiveness varies significantly across different regions and over time. The study employs DiD models to assess changes in healthcare service utilization before and after implementing specific interventions. The analysis utilizes data from multiple years across various districts. A notable finding was an increase of 15% in outpatient visits post-intervention, with a 95% confidence interval (CI) for the effect size being 10%, 20%. The DiD models effectively highlight yield improvements in district hospital systems. Future research should explore potential mechanisms driving these changes. District health authorities should prioritise interventions that have been proven effective through DiD analyses, such as improved communication strategies and training programmes for healthcare workers. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
