Patients after gastrointestinal surgery are prone to perioperative gastrointestinal dysfunction, immunosuppression, and complications, and the effectiveness of routine nursing interventions is limited. The aim of this study was to explore impact of perioperative comfort care plus Modified Shenqi Jianpi Decoction on gastrointestinal function, immune function, and complications in patients monitored by CT. 120 patients who underwent gastrointestinal surgery and CT monitoring were divided into control group (CG, routine perioperative care) and observation group (OG, additional perioperative comfort nursing combined with Modified Shenqi Jianpi Decoction). Gastrointestinal function (clinical indicators, CT imaging parameters, gastrointestinal hormones), immune function (cellular immunity, humoral immunity, inflammatory factors), and complication incidence were compared between groups. OG exhibited notably faster recovery of gastrointestinal function, better regulation of gastrointestinal hormone, and greater enhancement in CT imaging parameters related to gastrointestinal function versus CG. Immunosuppression and inflammatory response degrees were milder in OG. The total incidence of postoperative complications was substantially lower, and the hospital stay was shorter in OG ( P < 0.05). Under CT monitoring, the combination of perioperative comfort nursing and Modified Shenqi Jianpi Decoction can effectively promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, protect immune function, and reduce complication risk in gastrointestinal surgery patients, providing an evidence-based methodology for optimizing perioperative nursing.
