The integration of digital health records (DHRs) into community health centers is a critical initiative in South Africa to improve patient care and data management efficiency. A mixed-method approach combining quantitative surveys (N=300) and qualitative interviews (n=25) to assess user satisfaction and potential security breaches. Users reported a clear preference for secure access methods over less secure ones, with 78% indicating they would use encrypted patient portals if available. The likelihood of data breaches was estimated at 10-15%, with high variability by location. The integration process is feasible but requires robust security protocols to mitigate risks and ensure user trust. Immediate implementation of secure access features, ongoing training for staff on DHR usage and security best practices, and regular audits of data integrity are recommended.
