Enhancing food security is critical for sustainable development in The Gambia, a country with significant agricultural potential but facing challenges such as climate change and limited resources. Theoretical analysis will be used to develop a conceptual model that integrates stakeholder engagement, agricultural productivity enhancement, and socio-economic indicators for assessing programme effectiveness. The theoretical framework provides a robust structure for EFSP implementation, emphasising the importance of community participation and economic benefits in achieving food security goals. Policy makers should prioritise inclusive governance structures and financial incentives to support the sustainable adoption of agricultural innovations by smallholder farmers.
