Renewable energy technologies are increasingly being adopted in urban slums of Dakar, Senegal as a sustainable solution to energy poverty. A systematic review was conducted using electronic databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and Web of Science. Studies published between and were included based on predefined inclusion criteria. The analysis revealed a significant positive correlation (p < 0. 05) between user satisfaction levels and the perceived benefits associated with renewable energy technologies in urban slums of Dakar, Senegal, indicating that higher levels of user satisfaction are correlated with greater perceived benefits. This review highlights the importance of understanding user satisfaction to enhance the adoption of renewable energy technologies in urban slums of Dakar, Senegal. Further research should focus on developing targeted interventions and policies to maximise user satisfaction and benefit from renewable energy technology adoption. Model estimation used =argmin_ᵢ (yᵢ, f_ (xᵢ) ) +₂², with performance evaluated using out-of-sample error.
