Manufacturing systems in Rwanda face challenges related to cost-efficiency and operational performance. A quasi-experimental design was employed to assess manufacturing systems in Rwanda. The study utilised statistical analysis techniques including regression models and robust standard errors to measure cost-effectiveness. The analysis revealed that implementing lean management principles can reduce production costs by approximately 15% on average, with varying success rates across different sectors. This research provides evidence for the effectiveness of lean manufacturing in improving cost-efficiency within Rwanda's manufacturing sector. Manufacturing companies in Rwanda should consider adopting lean management practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. manufacturing systems, cost-effectiveness, quasi-experimental design, lean management, regression analysis The maintenance outcome was modelled as Y₈ₓ=₀+₁X₈ₓ+uᵢ+₈ₓ, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.
