Social media platforms have emerged as powerful tools for disseminating information on public health issues such as HIV/AIDS among young adults in Dakar, Senegal. A comparative analysis was conducted using survey data collected from -. The statistical model used is Y = eta₀ + eta₁X + u where Y represents knowledge gaps filled, X denotes social media campaign exposure, and u accounts for random effects. There was a significant improvement in knowledge gaps filled (p<0. 05) among participants who received targeted HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns on social media platforms. Social media campaigns were effective in enhancing knowledge about HIV/AIDS but engagement levels varied significantly across different communities. Further research should explore long-term effects and the role of community leaders in sustaining these campaigns.
