Urbanization in Egyptian cities has led to significant growth in informal settlements, posing challenges for social welfare deployment. A mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with quantitative data analysis to assess current policies and their effectiveness. Informal settlement residents receive only 30% of the targeted social welfare benefits, highlighting a substantial gap in coverage. Current social welfare policies are insufficient for addressing the needs of informal settlements, necessitating tailored interventions. Develop and implement targeted social welfare programmes specifically designed for informal settlements to ensure equitable distribution of resources.
