The Nile Basin is a critical water resource for Gambia, yet it faces significant challenges related to water scarcity and associated conflicts. The study employs both qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys to gather data from local communities and stakeholders. A thematic analysis revealed that community-led initiatives, such as water conservation programmes, were effective in reducing conflicts over scarce resources. Community engagement is crucial for sustainable conflict resolution in the Nile Basin of Gambia.
