Cash crops are a critical component of agricultural production in Northern Cameroon, contributing significantly to both rural livelihoods and national income. Qualitative research methods were employed, including participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Data collection took place over six months within the targeted farming communities. A key finding is that smallholder farmers in Northern Cameroon have a significant market share of approximately 40% for their primary cash crop, which primarily comprises coffee and cocoa. The marketing efficiency models identified show promise for increasing market share and improving profitability among smallholder farmers. Recommendations are provided to enhance these models further. Recommendations include the implementation of farmer cooperatives for better collective bargaining power and the integration of digital platforms to improve traceability and transparency in supply chains.
