Nitrosyl complexes of tetrahedral iron—nitric oxide (NO) donors—with 5-substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thiols were obtained for the first time. According to elemental analysis data, spectral methods, and quantum chemical calculations, there are paramagnetic tetrairon nitrosyl complexes of the μ-NCS structural type. The NO-donor properties and the effect of the obtained compounds on phosphodiesterase (PDE) activity were studied. It was shown that the synthesized complexes exhibit effective PDE inhibitory activity.
