The article "Treatment of lean PCOS teenagers: a follow-up comparison between Myo-Inositol and oral contraceptives" by L. Pkhaladze, M. Russo, V. Unfer, M. Nordio, S. Basciani, A. Khomasuridze published in Eur Rev Med Pharmacol Sci 2021; 25 (23): 7476-7485-DOI: 10. 26355/eurrev₂02112₂7447-PMID: 34919250 has been retracted in accordance with the Publisher and the Editor in Chief. Following the publication of the above-mentioned article, concerns were raised by a whistleblower and on PubPeer regarding the methodological and statistical validity of the study. The journal initiated an investigation in accordance with its editorial policies and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. The authors were contacted and provided the raw data underlying the study and a reply to the concerns raised. However, the journal's investigation confirmed the presence of serious methodological issues regarding study design, randomization, and statistical analysis. As a result, the Editor in Chief concluded that the reliability of the findings could not be assured. Therefore, the article is retracted. The authors have been informed of this decision and disagree with this retraction. This article has been retracted. The Publisher apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
