In this work the focusing properties of soft X-ray synchrotron radiation by separate capil-laries are discussed. It is shown that a not negligible fraction of the synchrotron radiation beam transmitted by the capillary has a mode representation. Experimental and theoretical data are discussed to explain the superposition pattern of the X-rays in the focal plane due to the interference phenomena of electromagnetic radiation propagating through separate capillaries.
