Community health centres in South Africa play a crucial role in healthcare delivery, particularly for underserved populations. A systematic literature review was employed to identify relevant studies on community health centres in South Africa. The review followed guidelines from the Cochrane Collaboration, focusing on empirical evidence for assessing effectiveness and comparing different approaches. Analysis revealed that implementing targeted intervention strategies could reduce healthcare risks by approximately 30% among participants in randomized trials. The randomized field trial demonstrated significant improvements in risk reduction when community health centres implemented comprehensive care protocols. Community health centres should prioritise the integration of evidence-based interventions to enhance their effectiveness and improve patient outcomes. community health centers, randomized field trial, risk reduction, South Africa Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
