Introduction: In Jordan, the prevalence of e-cigarette use has been regarded among the highest rates in the region, especially among its young population, namely university students. Hence, this study aimed to identify the rates of e-cigarette use and the possible factors associated with its use among university students in Jordan. Methods: A convenience sample of 830 university students was recruited using an online survey. Measures of sociodemographic characteristics, perceived stress, levels of depression, and coping styles were obtained. Results: The findings revealed that being male, specializing in a non-health major, and having high perceived stress scores were main factors associated with e-cigarette use among university students. Conclusions: Identifying factors associated with e-cigarette use among young adults, especially university students are vital in the development of targeted interventions that can effectively reduce e-cigarette use among this population in Jordan.
