Youth activism in Mozambique's coastal communities has been a significant force in environmental conservation efforts over the past five decades. This comparative study employs a case study approach with archival research and interviews as data collection methods. Youth activists in coastal communities have successfully implemented eco-friendly projects that demonstrate community buy-in, highlighting themes of sustainable agriculture and waste management. Despite challenges, youth-led efforts show promise for environmental conservation, particularly through grassroots initiatives that engage local populations effectively. Further research should explore the scalability of these successful models to other coastal areas in Mozambique.
