Language revitalization in Eritrea is crucial amidst a broader context of language loss across East Africa, where multiple indigenous languages are at risk due to linguistic assimilation and globalization pressures. The analysis will draw upon existing literature, academic research reports, and interviews conducted with community leaders and educators involved in language revitalization projects across Eritrea. The findings underscore the importance of sustained commitment to language preservation initiatives, which not only enhance linguistic diversity but also bolster cultural heritage and community cohesion. Policy makers should prioritise funding for language revitalization programmes and encourage collaboration between educational institutions and indigenous communities to maximise effectiveness. Libraries and archives must also be equipped with resources that support the revival of endangered languages.
