Abstract COS-1 defines the first complete operating system built entirely on a continuous chromatic field. It replaces symbolic computing — apps, windows, menus, icons, and linguistic input — with a post-symbolic architecture in which drift, color, coherence, and attractor manifolds generate all meaning, navigation, intention and temporal stability. This document establishes the One-Field Principle and formalizes the mechanics through which color becomes grammar, motion becomes meaning, and coherence becomes computational law. It serves as the foundational technical and philosophical statement of chromatic computing.
