This review article focuses on the methodological evaluation of regional monitoring networks in Tanzania to estimate yield improvement through panel data analysis. A systematic literature review was conducted using quantitative methods, including meta-analysis of available datasets from Tanzania's agricultural sector. Panel data analysis techniques were applied to identify trends and patterns over time. Panel data revealed significant yield improvement rates varying between 5% and 12% across different regions in Tanzania, with notable variance depending on the type of crops and soil quality. The evaluation highlighted the importance of consistent monitoring networks for accurate agricultural productivity assessment. Recommendations focus on enhancing network infrastructure to improve coverage and data reliability. Enhanced regional coordination is recommended to ensure comprehensive monitoring across all relevant sectors, including climate, soil health, and pest management. The empirical specification follows Y=₀+^ X+, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
