Algeria, a North African country, has made efforts to align its legal frameworks with global commitments towards sustainable development, particularly through sector-specific laws and international agreements. This analysis employs a comparative legal approach, reviewing existing laws, regulations, and policies within the specified sectors. A thematic review of relevant court decisions and academic literature will also be conducted to provide insights into practical application and challenges faced by stakeholders. The findings indicate that while Algeria has enacted several sustainable development-related laws, there is a notable disparity between legislative provisions and their actual implementation in practice, particularly concerning environmental protection measures and resource management policies. The conclusion suggests that despite progress, significant improvements are needed to ensure alignment with international best practices. This includes strengthening enforcement mechanisms and fostering greater stakeholder engagement. Recommendations include the need for more comprehensive legal frameworks, enhanced judicial oversight, and public-private partnerships to address identified gaps effectively.
