The Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL) is a collaborative project involving multiple institutions aimed at providing open access to biodiversity literature. As of 2010, the BHL has significantly increased its content and user engagement, evidenced by its growing collection of over 39,999 titles and 28.6 million pages. The initiative has received notable funding and awards for its contributions to scholarly access and collaboration in biological sciences.
