In Kampala, Uganda, waste management programmes have been implemented to address environmental challenges and improve public health. The study employed semi-structured interviews with stakeholders including residents, waste collectors, and local government officials to gather qualitative data. Residents expressed significant concerns about the cleanliness and safety of their neighborhoods post-programme implementation. Waste collectors reported improved income but faced challenges in waste collection efficiency. Stakeholder satisfaction varied; however, overall community feedback suggested a need for further improvements in programme effectiveness and sustainability. Enhanced communication strategies are recommended to better address residents' concerns, while investments in technology could improve the efficiency of waste collection processes.
