Focusing on the development and practice of aesthetic education courses in the elementary education stage, this paper elaborates on their significant values, including fostering cultural confidence, improving personality cultivation, and promoting educational equity. It also proposes specific practical paths, covering building a featured curriculum system by anchoring on the core of local culture, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration to broaden the implementation dimensions, and improving the guarantee mechanism from the aspects of teaching staff, evaluation, resource supply, as well as teaching and scientific research. It aims to systematically promote the construction of aesthetic education courses to facilitate the all-round development of students, implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talent, and demonstrate the concepts of cultural education and educational equity.
