Vocational Training and Entrepreneurial Success in Kigali: An Analysis of Employment Creation and Economic Growth Metrics

Vocational training programmes in Kigali aim to enhance secondary school graduates' employability and entrepreneurial success. The study employed semi-structured interviews with 50 participants who completed vocational training programmes to understand their career paths and contributions to local economies. Participants reported a significant increase (28%) in employment opportunities post-training compared to those without training. Economic growth metrics showed an average rise of 5, 000 per year for trained individuals over the first five years after graduation. Vocational training significantly boosts entrepreneurial success and local economic outcomes among secondary school graduates in Kigali.
