Digital literacy is increasingly recognised as a critical skill for students in higher education, particularly among female students who may face unique challenges and opportunities. A mixed-methods approach was employed to gather data through surveys and focus group discussions, targeting a sample of female undergraduate and postgraduate students across various disciplines. The survey revealed that 60% of participants reported improved digital skills after participation in the programmes, with themes including enhanced research capabilities and better communication skills. Digital literacy programmes have shown significant positive impacts on female students' skill sets within Ethiopian universities, particularly in their academic performance and professional development. Investment should be prioritised in continuous digital literacy training to further equip students with the necessary technical and critical thinking skills for future success.
