Mobile banking services have gained traction in Africa as a means to bridge financial gaps for small-scale farmers. This study extends this investigation to Senegalese and Gabonese contexts, focusing on innovative mobile banking solutions and their impact on loan product utilization and income dynamics. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including a quantitative survey among 300 randomly selected farmers from both countries, supplemented by qualitative interviews with key informants. Data were collected through an online platform tailored to the context of mobile banking services in Africa. The findings indicate that approximately 45% of surveyed Senegalese farmers have utilised innovative mobile banking services for loan products, showing significant interest and potential benefits in enhancing financial stability. This study contributes by providing empirical evidence on the adoption of innovative mobile banking solutions among small-scale farmers in Africa. The results highlight the importance of tailored digital financial services in supporting economic development. Policy makers should consider developing and promoting innovative mobile banking services that are specifically designed to meet the needs of rural communities, particularly small-scale farmers. Additionally, continuous monitoring and feedback loops can help improve service delivery and user satisfaction.
