Student Performance Enhancement through Educational Technology in Kenyan Primary Schools: A Study on Teacher Training Effectiveness

The integration of educational technology in Kenyan primary schools has been a topic of growing interest due to its potential to enhance student learning outcomes and teacher effectiveness. A survey was conducted among Kenyan primary school teachers and students, employing a mixed-methods approach with both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. Teachers who received comprehensive training reported significant improvements in student performance, with an average improvement rate of 25% in language acquisition tests compared to those without training. The findings suggest that targeted teacher training programmes are crucial for maximising the benefits of educational technology in Kenyan primary schools. School administrators and policymakers should invest in continuous professional development opportunities for teachers, focusing on integrating technological tools into their teaching practices.
