Agroforestry practices in Ethiopian highlands involve integrating trees into agricultural landscapes to enhance productivity and sustainability. A qualitative study employing semi-structured interviews with 50 peasant farmers in selected regions of the Ethiopian Highlands. Amongst interviewed farmers, 43% adopted agroforestry practices, highlighting increased income through diversified crop production and improved soil fertility. Agroforestry adoption significantly boosted economic benefits for peasant farmers, particularly in terms of higher yields and reduced input costs. Policy makers should support extension services to disseminate knowledge on agroforestry practices among rural communities.
