Water scarcity in Equatorial Guinea's Nile Basin is a critical issue affecting both human well-being and ecosystem health, highlighting potential conflicts between different user groups. A qualitative research approach was employed to gather in-depth insights from local communities, government officials, and non-governmental organizations through semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions. Data analysis involved thematic content analysis. Participants identified water scarcity as a significant challenge with varying degrees of severity across different regions, ranging from moderate (40%) to severe (25%). Community-led initiatives have shown promising results in mitigating conflicts over scarce resources, while governmental policies need reinforcement and coordination for effective implementation. Promote community-based water management projects with financial support from international organizations. Strengthen intergovernmental cooperation to harmonize resource allocation strategies across the basin.
