The Pacific Rim Conference on Rheology (PRCR) is an international conference held every four years, bringing together rheologists from across the Pacific Rim.The previous conference was held in 2023 in Vancouver, Canada, shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic, and this time it was organized in Kobe, Japan, with Professor Tadashi Inoue serving as the chair. This marked the first time in 15 years that the conference had been held in Japan, since the 5th PRCR in Hokkaido. The total number of participants was 330, including 191 regular participants, 104 students, 22 sponsors, and 15 accompanying persons.Notably, the conference title was modified beginning with this edition, with "Asia" added at the start of the name. This change resulted in an increased number of participants from India (seven in total). The countries with the largest delegations were Japan (168), China (47), Korea (32), and Canada (12).The meeting took place at the Kobe International Conference Center, located on Port Island between Kobe Airport and Sannomiya, the city's downtown area, making it highly accessible for international participants. Its proximity to the Expo in Osaka, which was underway during the conference, allowed many attendees to visit the Expo during free time.59
