The study investigates mechanical oscillations in the ICE–mounts system excited by the unbalanced second-order inertial force of reciprocating masses. It is shown that an additional moment arises from the unbalanced inertial force of reciprocating masses. The power unit is considered as an ICE–gearbox system that oscillates about its center of mass. The influence of such parameters as elasticity, absorption coefficient, number of mounts, and height of the damping element on the natural resonance frequencies of the system is studied.
