"Sovereignty is a fundamental element in shaping the political landscape in contemporary Iraqi political thought, as it represents the supreme authority of the state over its territory, resources, and decisions. The discussion of sovereignty in Iraq is closely linked to a long history of foreign interventions and internal conflicts, as well as efforts to establish a stable and independent political system. Modern Iraqi history has witnessed a series of challenges that have threatened its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Due to the U.S. invasion in 2003, the rise of ISIS, as well as regional and international interventions by several countries, Iraq's sovereignty has significantly deteriorated, which has had a notable impact on its internal affairs." The problem of the study is that there are a number of different political blocs and parties that adopt a number of views on sovereignty, which often reflect their ideological orientations and historical experiences. Therefore, these diverse views collectively shape the discourse on sovereignty, and emphasize its centrality in shaping the political path of Iraq.
