Afrofuturism is a lens that explores African perspectives on future developments, often highlighting cultural resilience and innovation in response to colonial legacies and contemporary challenges. The study employs thematic analysis on existing literature from Kenyan futurists, focusing on themes such as technological advancement, cultural preservation, and socio-economic development. A significant finding is the recurring theme of technological innovation with a particular emphasis on renewable energy solutions to address environmental challenges. This study concludes that Afrofuturism offers valuable insights into Kenya's multifaceted future, emphasising interdisciplinarity and inclusivity in envisioning sustainable pathways forward. Future research should consider applying Afrofuturist methodologies to other African contexts to uncover broader patterns of futurity across the continent.
