Power-distribution equipment systems in Ethiopia have been identified as critical for improving energy yield efficiency. A multilevel regression model was applied to analyse the impact of various factors on energy yield, including infrastructure quality and operational practices at both national and regional levels. The multilevel regression analysis revealed that improvements in infrastructure quality at the sub-national level had a significant positive effect on overall yield improvement (β = +0. 32, p < 0. 05). This study provides robust evidence for enhancing energy yield efficiency through targeted investments in power distribution systems.
