Community-based climate change adaptation programmes have been implemented to assist smallholder farmers in adapting to environmental challenges in Mozambique. A mixed-methods approach including surveys and focus groups was employed to gather data from a sample of 200 smallholder farmers across three districts in Mozambique. Amongst the surveyed participants, 75% reported improved crop yields after participating in the climate change adaptation programmes, indicating significant positive impacts on their agricultural productivity. The effectiveness of community-based climate change adaptation programmes among smallholder farmers in Mozambique is evident from these findings. Future research should focus on scaling up and replicating successful models. Investment in capacity building for local communities and continued support through targeted interventions are recommended to sustain the benefits observed.
