Education research in Kenya is a critical component of educational policy, influencing curriculum development, teacher training, and student outcomes. A mixed-methods survey approach was employed, combining quantitative data from a national sample of educators and qualitative insights gathered through interviews with policymakers and researchers. The analysis revealed that over 70% of respondents reported education research as highly influential in shaping policy decisions, particularly regarding curriculum updates and teacher training programmes. This study underscores the significant role of education research in informing educational policies in Kenya, highlighting areas for continued collaboration between researchers and policymakers. Future research should focus on strengthening data collection methods to ensure more comprehensive coverage of diverse stakeholder perspectives, thereby enhancing policy effectiveness.
