Manufacturing plants in Ghana face challenges related to system reliability that can affect productivity and safety. Multilevel regression analysis was employed to assess system reliability across multiple levels of manufacturing organizations. The model accounts for both fixed and random effects to capture variability within and between different plant sites. The multilevel regression analysis revealed that operational efficiency (measured as a proportion, e. g. , 85%) is significantly influenced by maintenance practices, with robust standard errors indicating the precision of these estimates. This study provides insights into the reliability of manufacturing systems in Ghanaian plants and highlights the importance of consistent maintenance for improving system performance. Manufacturing companies should prioritise regular maintenance to enhance system reliability and productivity. manufacturing, reliability, multilevel regression analysis, Ghana The empirical specification follows Y=₀+^ X+, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
