Ghana has implemented significant land reform policies aimed at addressing historical injustices and promoting equitable access to arable lands. A mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with data from government reports and academic literature was employed. The analysis reveals that while land redistribution has led to increased agricultural productivity by over 15% in targeted communities, it also highlights challenges such as bureaucratic delays and community resistance. Despite initial successes, sustained support and policy adjustments are required to ensure the long-term benefits of land reform policies for socio-economic development in Ghana and beyond. Stakeholders should prioritise streamlined administrative processes and strengthen community engagement mechanisms to enhance the efficacy of land redistribution programmes.
