Post-conflict reconstruction in South Africa involves navigating complex legal frameworks to address societal challenges. A survey research approach was employed to gather insights from legal practitioners, community leaders, and affected individuals in South Africa's jurisdictions. Survey results indicate a significant proportion (60%) of respondents found the existing legal frameworks insufficient for comprehensive post-conflict recovery. Current legal frameworks face challenges such as inadequate resource allocation and lack of specialized training for practitioners, necessitating reform to enhance effectiveness. Policy recommendations include increasing funding for legal aid services and enhancing interdisciplinary training programmes in law schools.
