The apartheid legacy has left significant institutional scars, particularly in areas like land reform and economic redistribution, which continue to impact governance effectiveness today. While the transition from apartheid was a monumental step towards democracy, its aftermath has revealed persistent challenges that require sustained policy attention. Policy reforms should prioritise addressing historical grievances through inclusive governance structures and equitable resource distribution.
