This research paper explores the scientific and architectural relevance of Vastu Energy Science within the context of modern building design. Rooted in the ancient Indian architectural tradition of Vastu Shastra, the study investigates how traditional spatial knowledge systems can contribute to contemporary architectural theory, sustainable design, and environmental psychology. Drawing conceptual insights from the work “333 and Vastu Energy Science” by Acharya Pt. Dr. Avdhesh Kumarr, the paper proposes an interdisciplinary framework connecting spatial energy dynamics, human cognition, and environmental design. The research introduces the Mind–Action–Space (MAS) model, which suggests that human well-being and behavior are shaped by the interaction between psychological states, daily actions, and the spatial environments in which individuals live and work. The study further examines classical Vastu principles such as the Pancha Mahabhuta (five elements), directional energy systems, and the Vastu Purusha Mandala, interpreting them through modern scientific perspectives including biophilic architecture, environmental psychology, thermal comfort, and sustainable building design. Through comparative theoretical analysis, the paper argues that several traditional Vastu guidelines correspond with empirically recognized architectural principles such as solar orientation, natural ventilation, spatial zoning, and environmental harmony. These findings suggest that Vastu Shastra may represent an early form of holistic environmental design science developed through centuries of observation and cultural practice. The research highlights the potential benefits of integrating traditional knowledge systems with modern architectural approaches to create built environments that support human health, psychological balance, ecological sustainability, and spatial harmony. The paper contributes to emerging interdisciplinary discussions on traditional ecological knowledge, architecture, and cultural sustainability, and encourages further empirical research into the scientific foundations of Vastu Energy Science.
