This research explores the intersection of Vastu Shastra and environmental psychology, examining how spatial arrangements, directional alignments, and environmental balance influence emotional well-being and family harmony in modern households. Drawing upon traditional architectural wisdom, behavioural science, and case-based observations from Vastu consultancy practices, the study highlights recurring patterns linking home design with communication, marital stability, and children’s behavioural development. The paper argues that while Vastu Shastra has historically been viewed as a cultural or spiritual practice, many of its principles correspond with contemporary understandings of environmental psychology and behavioural architecture. Key factors such as natural light, airflow, room orientation, and environmental order are shown to play significant roles in shaping domestic environments, regulating mood, and reducing conflict. By integrating traditional knowledge systems with modern design approaches, this work proposes a conceptual framework for understanding how spatial energy patterns affect emotional climates within households. The findings suggest that interdisciplinary collaboration between architecture, psychology, and cultural studies can contribute to healthier, more harmonious living environments in modern society.
