Abstract In this paper, we present novel characterizations of weights for dynamic Hardy-type inequalities on time scales. In the continuous case, our findings correspond to the classical discrete inequalities established by Okpoti et al. (Function Spaces, Differential Operators and Nonlinear Analysis: 28/05/2004-02/06/2004, pp. 236–258, 2004), whereas in the continuous case, the resulting inequalities are fundamentally new.
