Currently, blockchain technologies have radically changed the foundations of the world. Cryptocurrencies are increasingly being used not only by a large number of retail investors, but also by financial institutions and even countries. Consequently, countries can regulate cryptocurrencies in various legal categories and may be under the supervision of a number of authorities, depending on their use case and nature. The purpose of the article is to consider the legal status and regulation of crypto assets.
