Abstract

This document provides a detailed, modular computational pipeline designed to empirically test the hypothesis that axon whorls discovered in the H01 human temporal cortex dataset function as frequency-selective resonant elements in neural synchronization networks (Sophia, 2026). The plan is structured in five phases: (1) identification and coordinate extraction of whorled axons from the H01 dataset, (2) 3D morphological classification and geometric quantification (helix, spiral, knot, spool), (3) analytical inductance estimation and finite element modeling of resonant properties, (4) spatial correlation analysis with synaptic density and strong connections, (5) modified Kuramoto simulations incorporating frequency-dependent coupling functions. Ready-to-use Claude Code templates, falsification criteria, bottlenecks, and a publication roadmap are included. Version 1.0 contains only the analysis plan and code framework—no results yet. Future versions will report computational findings. Collaborators are warmly invited to contribute to any phase, particularly finite element modeling and large-scale Kuramoto simulations. This open protocol aims to accelerate the first systematic validation of a functional role for axon whorls.
