Addressing the prevalent modern dilemmas of "psychological rumination" and emotional exhaustion, this paper proposes the Mental Pricing of Emotions (MPE) method. Grounded in Cognitive Defusion, Dual Process Theory, and Externalization techniques from Narrative Therapy, this approach transforms subjective emotional experiences into tradable "commercial assets" through simulated market transactions. By leveraging the Pain of Paying and Loss Aversion mechanisms, it forcibly activates metacognitive monitoring to achieve "market demystification" of emotional value. This paper systematically elaborates the theoretical foundations, eight operational variants, standardized procedures (SOP), and validates effectiveness through real-world scenarios including unemployment anxiety and interpersonal conflict. As a metacognitive self-training tool (non-clinical intervention), it provides a zero-cost, low-threshold, quantifiable, and reproducible technical pathway for emotion regulation.
