Evolution of Insight and the Formation of Protognosis: A Temporo-Contextual Cognitive Analysis

Abstract:This conceptual study explores the mechanisms underlying the emergenceand evolution of insight as a cognitive phenomenon, emphasizing the role ofintuition as the primary source of preliminary knowledge. Introducing theconcept of protognosis — a structured representation of early-stage cognitiveformations — this work examines how internal cognitive states, emotionalcontext, subjective incompleteness, and external environmental factorsinteract to generate and stabilize protognosis. Methodological approaches fordocumenting and analyzing protognosis are proposed, enabling reproducibleinvestigation despite the inherently unique and context-dependent nature ofinsights. This theoretical framework provides a foundation for integratingsubjective experience with empirical investigation and highlights potentialdirections for experimental validation, contributing to research in creativity,cognitive science, and applied educational practices.
