Current cosmological models rely on independent mechanisms to explain the origin ofcosmological redshift and the accelerated expansion of the universe, leaving the physical na-ture of Dark Energy (Λ) undefined. This paper introduces the Energy Exclusion Principle(EEP), a unified theoretical framework proposing that extrinsic propagating energy (pho-tons) and intrinsic vacuum energy (hidden sector particles) cannot simultaneously occupythe same coordinate space without undergoing a phase transition. As photons propagate, the EEP mandates a continuous transfer of energy from the extrinsic radiation bath to theintrinsic vacuum. This continuous energy siphon provides a purely quantum-mechanicalderivation for cosmological redshift (z). Concurrently, the transferred energy undergoes anEquation of State transition to negative pressure (w = −1), providing a strictly positive, dynamical thermodynamic fuel rate (Q) for metric expansion. We derive the local Hubbleparameter directly from this interaction rate (κnh = H0/c) and calculate a continuous vac-uum energy influx of Q ≈ 9.46 × 10−32 J · m−3 · s−1. While preserving the baseline densityof pre-existing Dark Energy, this mechanism provides a mathematically rigorous engine forits dynamic, temporal evolution, aligning with recent observations of dynamic dark energywhile establishing a causal link between redshift and cosmological time dilation.
