The process of Islamization was historically tied to cultural adaptation and integration with local traditions.Lombok's Muslim population is mainly Sunni, with a distinct group practicing Wetu Telu Islam in the Bayan District.This influence shaped their geographic and cultural landscapes, especially in the Bayan region, where Islamization has impacted land management and community interactions.This study explores the historical spatial organization of Bayan, linking its cultural features with broader various geographic, historical, and traditional data related to this topic.Customary mosques in Bayan are a central part of the cultural landscape, integrating traditional and religious practices, with the Bayan Beleq mosque playing a key role in rituals, education, and community events.This study highlights the mosque's importance in preserving local identity through traditional materials and architectural styles while calling for further research on the broader cultural landscape of the Bayan region.
